| RECCO® The RECCO Resuce System utilizes advanced frequency doubling radar technology to make the quick location of an avalanche victim possible.* The reflector we build into Vans RECCO-equipped boots is a passive system, so there is no need for batteries or maintenance, and nothing to turn on or off. The RECCO Rescue System consists of two parts; the reflector in each RECCO-equipped boot, and the search equipment which is operated by the ski resort. *The RECCO System does not prevent avalanches or guarantee the survival or localization of a victim.
